from the mountains....

Hi everybody! I hope your summers are all going well-- I am up working at camp and so far, so good! I've only had to jump into the pool to a get kid once (knock on wood knock on wood!), and my room mate is really nice. I called home for Father's Day today and after talking to my dad for a while he put me on speaker phone and had me talk to Finn for a while. He said she did that cute little head cock back and forth thing that I love... I am sure you know the one. I can't wait for her to come up here with my folks and visit me!!

There are a few dogs up here with the management and I am always really excited to see them. Probably too excited; they must think of me as the crazy lifeguard girl who is nutso for dogs. But I miss Finn so much, and getting to pet a dog is like staving off serious withdrawl pangs. I talk to them, and pet them and try to hang out as long as possible :) There is Hunter, who's 13 and has the same birthday as his owner. His owner said the only time Hunter hasn't gone with him somewhere was his honeymoon :) He rides around in a golf cart all day and then comes and roams by the lake. Then there's Abby, who hangs out near the lumber and maintenance yard, and she belongs to the head of outdoor crew. She's a lanky lab mix with long legs and is reallllly nice. And then there is Lika, who belongs to the lodge a mile up the road, and ambles down to go swimming in the lake and wander around-- he is a stocky chocolate lab and is always wagging his tail so hard the whole of him wiggles, and he loves to come when we have to lure him away from lessons and stuff. It's a good dog crew!

So that's it for now... hopefully I'll see Finn up here soon and have some more to post!! All the best!!
