Ears on Alert

Both Westly and Finley are herding dogs, and I am trying to teach Finn not to pull on the leash when all three of us walk together-- she needs to be in front! Or so she thinks. We're making some headway, though. Westly is great....she doesn't pull unless it's really important (great smell; rodent to chase), and she has great judgment. I twine their leashes together in the hopes that Finn will find it harder to pull us both. I think I need to get a collar that chokes her a little, because the harness is comfortable, and she can pull out of a martingale.

They both saw a cat that ran away from them and wanted to chase it, but both standing dead still, leaning forward here, not pulling. I loved it! Look at those ears.

I would try a gentle leader before a choke collar. It's hard to pull when your head is gets turned to the side from it.
